Turkey refocuses on tourists from Europe and the Middle East

According to the President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies Firuz Baglykaya, the authorities do not count on any serious flow of tourists from Ukraine and Russia this season.

The official noted that the depreciation of the ruble and problems with flights practically put an end to the hopes of seeing the Russians for a long time. In this regard, it was decided to concentrate on the main European markets and neighbors in the region.

In particular, these are countries such as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as
Germany, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Moldova and Lithuania are states that have had strong positions in Antalya in the past years. In addition, Firuz Baglykaya mentioned Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and noted that Iran has growth potential. In the future, work will also continue to attract tourists from Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
