Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Andriy Sibikha said on Wednesday that Turkey offers tourists a “safe” vacation, making the right investments.
“Turkey has always been a popular holiday destination for Ukrainians,” said Andriy Sibiha during a visit to the Kemer district in the Turkish Mediterranean resort town of Antalya.
Sibiha and his accompanying delegation visited the top of Mount Takhtali on a cable car at an altitude of 2365 meters, as well as the surrounding attractions of the area.
The ambassador added that 1.5 million Ukrainians visited Turkey a year before the pandemic.
“Even last year, a million Ukrainians came to Turkey during the restrictions,” he said.
He also reminded that a new Kiev-Istanbul flight was opened on March 25, which “will allow Ukrainian tourists to explore Turkey more.”
Sibiha also said that Ukrainians are happy to spend their holidays in Turkey because they do not need to go to quarantine after returning to Ukraine.
