Traveling with an extra suitcase cost the tourist $4,500 by mistake

The passenger of the plane complained that due to an error of the airline staff, the check-in of an additional piece of baggage cost her 4,500 instead of 45 New Zealand dollars. Mirror writes about it.

As the tourist said, she was supposed to fly on a Jetstar flight from Auckland Airport in New Zealand. At the check-in desk, the woman asked for another piece of luggage and gave the credit card to the airline employee. However, due to an error, instead of the amount due, she was deducted thousand times more – the passenger paid 4,500 New Zealand dollars for the carriage of an additional suitcase.

According to the passenger, the airline manager and the head of the registration service assured her that the money would be returned within 10-15 days, but did not issue any receipts or supporting documents to the woman. Two weeks later, the money withdrawn by mistake was still not credited to the account – Jetstar representatives apologized to the tourist and presented a voucher for the flight.
