Frustrated British tourists are considering going on strike over hundreds of canceled and delayed flights in the UK. The traffic chaos is affecting more and more foreign tourists as airlines rush to change flight schedules.
Last month, the island’s authorities announced an “airline amnesty” that allows carriers to cancel flights while maintaining take-off and landing spots for next year. Slots are bought by airlines in sync with flight schedules, but if they fail to meet their obligations to the airport and passengers, slots can be bought by competing airlines.
With the changes and the so-called “amnesty”, the state introduced the possibility of more free adjustment of schedules, which will allow airlines to operate only flights that have enough passengers and a full crew.
