The intensity of early bookings inspired experts in the tourism sector. However, they hurried to warn vacationers that expectations of tourism from 2022 may not come true. Therefore, travelers should book tours and hotel accommodation only with the possibility of guaranteed cancellation and through reliable online channels, well-known agencies. This was stated by the president of the Cesme Tourist Hotel Association (ÇESTOB) Jakup Demir.
According to his statement in the Turkish press, the number of purchases of hotel accommodation from early bookings has increased sharply. The head stressed that he hopes for the 2022 season and expects the year to be lively in terms of tourism.
“Currently, in particular, local and foreign tour operators, numerous agencies and online channels in Turkey have launched a serious campaign for early booking. In periods when the dollar reaches high values, it is much cheaper to buy early booking leave. Because we are talking about reducing prices to 25-30 percent. Early booking periods will run in January, February, March and April. If there is demand, it will affect the price, that is, it will only increase, so we ask you to book the tour earlier, when prices are still available,” – said the expert, adding that you must follow certain safety rules.

According to the chairman of the association, it is necessary to obtain a number of information and documents that guarantee payment for the reservation by a travel agency. Many vacationers book tours without making sure the ticket is paid for. And when they come to their hotel, it may turn out that there was no booking in fact and the travel agency blocked this money to pay for another tour or appropriated them to themselves.
The expert also warned tourists against full payment when booking the tour to avoid casualties. “Pay 25, 30 or even 50 percent. But until the last minute, you must be prepared in case of emergency to cancel the reservation and return your money. This is possible only with reliable agents,” he said.
