Tourists began to spend more during their holidays in Turkey. This was stated by the head of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) Sururi Chorabatir.
At the moment, Turkey’s income per tourist has increased from 670 to 840 dollars.
According to a travel industry expert, from January to April of this year, Turkey received almost 9 million people, of which 7.5 million were foreigners, which is 172% more than a year earlier.
In terms of tourist flow to Turkey, Germany is in the lead, Bulgaria is in second place, and Iran is third. Russia occupies the fourth line, and the UK – the fifth.
