The tour operator announced changes in the conditions of arrival in Egypt for unvaccinated tourists and children. The companies received the corresponding mailing list on Saturday, December 18th.
According to the update, there has been an increase in the age of children who must not present a negative PCR test to enter the country.
If earlier analyzes were required from all tourists over 6 years old, now the bar has been raised to 12 years. That is, everyone under this age can fly to Egypt without a PCR test. In addition, there was a new restriction on the timing of the test. “A sample for analysis (testing) must be submitted within 72 to 24 hours prior to departure,” the company’s website says. Thus, if earlier there was only a condition – not earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border, now there is still a deadline – the PCR analysis must be submitted no later than 24 hours before departure. The result should be printed with a QR code and blue stamp in Arabic or English.
“We remind you that in case of problems with the PCR test at the airport upon arrival, you can always take a paid PCR test for $ 30 (as an exception),” adds the tour operator.
According to travel agents, information about the updated rules for entering Egypt has come from only one tour operator. In addition, the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Arab Republic of Egypt has not yet been updated.
