The “forbidden fruit” in Thailand has once again become available to tourists legally

In Thailand, tourists are finally allowed “forbidden fruit” – nightlife in the resorts of the kingdom is restored immediately in 31 provinces of the “green zone”, including Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. However, as before, the entertainment industry is bound by mass bans.

The main ones are: pubs, clubs and other entertainment venues can once again receive visitors, although they must close at midnight. Other conditions include a ban on mass events and alcohol advertising.

In Bangkok, according to Thai media, only facilities that have been certified by the Thai Ministry of Health Stop Covid 2 Plus will be able to resume operations. To do this, employees must be fully vaccinated, including by receiving a booster dose. And during work, they must constantly wear face masks and regularly take tests for antigens.

Tourists are advised to be fully vaccinated. And clients at risk – European retirees, for example, are not recommended to visit clubs at all.

In addition to bars, clubs, and other entertainment venues, other establishments were allowed to open. These include massage parlors, tattoo parlors, hairdressers, beauty and manicure salons, folklore shows, gyms, theaters, and saunas. All such enterprises must adhere to disease prevention measures.

In other resorts, “evil places” will not be restarted without inspection. In Phuket, where many nightlife venues have been open for some time and operate as restaurants, Kosak Quokiatkul, health chief, said entertainment venues that have not yet opened should undergo a safety assessment through the local district health department. Even though the authorities, not “cooled down” by insidious measures, began to fear monkeypox, nightlife in the resort’s “easy times” are not waiting.
