A local travel agent said fewer Ukrainian and Russian tourists were expected to come to Turkey this summer than expected, with about 5 million instead of 11 million. As a result, Turkish hotels have been forced to cut prices sharply. “For example, already in May the discount was 30%, ie the daily stay in the room was not 100 euros, but 70 euros. In addition to this depreciation, the lira has contributed to the fact that Turkey offers prices that competitors do not have,” said the travel agent.
At the same time, according to his forecasts, the cost of package tours may fall below. Shortly, experts expect an increase in the number of charter flights to Turkish resorts, especially to Antalya.
