Sri Lankan court banned Aeroflot aircraft from leaving the country

According to News First, the High Commercial Court of Colombo has banned the Aeroflot airliner detained on the island from leaving Sri Lanka until at least June 16.

According to the publication, Judge Harsha Setunga of the High Commercial Court of Colombo issued an injunction against the respondent Russian airline after considering a complaint filed by Celestial Aviation Trading Limited (Ireland). The injunction will remain in effect until June 16.

According to the plaintiff, he filed a complaint because he has a settlement agreement with the defendant – Russian Airlines OJSC.

Recall that the Aeroflot plane, which was supposed to fly from Colombo to Moscow yesterday, was detained by the authorities of Sri Lanka due to a dispute with the lessor. Tourists of the tour operator “Intourist”, who went on this flight to their homeland, were settled in a hotel.
