At least six foreign tourists were killed yesterday in Iraqi Kurdistan as a result of shelling of the resort of Zakho. Another 26 people were injured.
The Iraqi authorities blame the Turkish Armed Forces for the shelling.
The nationality of the tourists killed and injured in northern Iraq is not specified, but it is known that they arrived from Arab countries.
Recall that in the north of Iraq there are bases of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, against which Turkey conducts air and ground operations.
