Saudi Arabia’s first Red Sea resort to open in 2023

The project is called Red Sea. An airport will open next to it, and by the end of 2024, the tourist complex will include 16 separate resorts – two on land and 14 on the coast, which will house hotels with 3,000 rooms. When the second phase of construction is completed in 2030, guests at 22 resorts will be able to accommodate 8,000 hotel rooms.

The publication notes that in recent years, Saudi Arabia has made great strides in attracting tourists, despite the fact that this country has traditionally been closed to foreigners, with the exception of Muslim pilgrims. So, in 2019, tourist e-visas were introduced.
