Prices for tours to Turkey have fallen sharply. In the week before September, holidays in the popular resort country became 20% more affordable, and in some hotels, discounts reached a record 30%.
According to the information, in luxury hotels, such as the Gloria chain, you can find offers with a discount of up to 30%. “If you dreamed of taking your family, yourself to the hotels of the Gloria chain — now is the time,” the experts advised and also noted a decrease in prices for holidays at the Cullinan Golf & Resort in Belek by 13%. As for prices in the approaching September, they will remain at the same level.
Meanwhile, against the backdrop of such a decrease in prices in Turkey, significant price drops are also observed in other popular tourist destinations. Thus, for the first time in the last decade, Turkish 5-star hotels were forced to reduce prices at the height of the tourist season. As it turned out, such a decision was necessary due to the collapse of the exchange rate and the rise in costs, which undermined Turkey’s competitiveness in the global tourism market. According to Turizm Guncel, the president of the Association of Tourism Hoteliers and Operators of Cesme (ÇEŞTOB) Yakup Demir confirmed this trend, noting that especially 5-star hotels “updated” their prices. As a result, prices returned to last year’s level, which immediately attracted the attention of, first of all, domestic tourists who began to plan their trips.
