For the traveler, whose review of the holiday was published on the portal “Subtleties of Tourism”, the trip to the island was the first in my life. A trip to Cuba cost the author 70 thousand hryvnias. She wrote a detailed post about what impressed the tourist during her vacation.
The author of the review complained about the poverty of the local population and the shortage of simple goods, comparing the country with the Soviet Union. The traveler also emphasized the “penny” salaries of Cubans and the general low standard of living on the island.
“At the same time, the Cubans themselves are friendly, do not feel evil towards tourists, do not climb out of the skin to make money or steal money from you. It is unpleasant to watch our tourists distribute tips and medicines, “she said.
The traveler was unpleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel where she was booked. The bed was broken in the room and the shower in the bathroom. The condition of household appliances was also deplorable. The refrigerator did not work in the room, and the hair dryer, according to the author of the review, was at least 30 years old.
The tourist noted the advantages of vacationing in Cuba. Among them – a clean deserted beach, delicious cocktails, lots of fresh fruit and interesting animation.

However, the tourist concluded that Cuba is not suitable for a beach holiday.
“It’s better to take budget hotels and spend more time traveling around the island,” she concluded.
The tourist suggested that without resorting to the services of guides, you can immerse yourself in the local flavor and explore Cuba. However, she warned that renting a car and petrol would cost tourists more than locals.
