On the Romanian Coast of the Black Sea on Sunday, June 12, the installation of new buoys began, which are designed to encourage tourists to behave more responsibly and listen to the advice of beach rescuers, Romanian media reported.
New buoys are cross and red. They indicate the number of people who died as a result of drowning last year, and the slogan: “forget about the adventures of the buoys.”
Some Romanian media describe new buoys as “ominous”. Many rescuers do not approve of their new appearance but are forced to lower them into the water.
The new buoys were provided to rescuers directly by the Smurf Fund – Serviceiul Mobil de urgențț, Reanimare și Descarcerare, which is deciphered as an emergency resuscitation and search.
The service is headed by Rated Arafat, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, BTA reports.
