Ukrainian travel agencies have joined the trend against Russian tourists and shared hotels in Turkey, Egypt and other top destinations. Some were blacklisted as they congratulated the Russian people on the Great Victory Day on May 9 and continue to receive Russian tourists with open arms, while others were added to the white list, where the road is open to Ukrainians because there are no Russians there. According to the travel agent, this division can be treated differently, “but at least we have a number of hotels where Russian travel agents are most likely to send their customers.”
At the moment, the black list of foreign hotels are as follows:
- Alva Donna – Antalya, Turkey. The hotel “got dirty” by congratulating its tourists on the holiday with carnations and St. George’s ribbons.
- Rivero Residence hotel – Kemer, Turkey. Posted a greeting on social media.
- Sindbad hotel – Hurghada, Egypt. He was banned for organizing Victory Day with the support of the Russian consulate in Hurghada.
- Atlantis the Palm – Dubai, UAE. Held an evening dedicated to the Victory Day of the Red Army.
- Travel company Mellon travel – Thessaloniki, Greece. Employees congratulated Russian-speaking tourists on May 9, for which users of social networks threw angry comments on the personal page of the director of the travel agency. In addition, they leave a lot of negative feedback on the organization. Upon learning of this, Russian bots decided to support pro-Russian travel agencies and leave positive comments.
In turn, the Russian travel agent drew attention to colleagues who involve politics in tourism and actively rejoice at the hatred of Russians. In particular, they urge not to put Russian tourists on flights and dismiss Russian-speaking employees. Notably, some of these travel agents are Russian themselves. “Unfortunately, many travel agents in Russia report their political views after receiving funds from a client. Therefore, check 10,000 times to whom you transfer money… “, – the Russian woman concluded.
