A massive wall-to-wall fight, in which seven people were injured at once, took place in Hurghada. All participants in the fight were local, but it happened because of tourists. More precisely, because of what prevented these tourists from being attracted.
A fight broke out between the owners of the cafe and the workers of the car wash next door. According to the Egyptian mass media, during the investigation, it was found that the employee of the cafe “initiated a dispute” with the employees of the car wash. They slightly expanded their territory and started washing motorcycles right in front of the cafe window. Not that it was an unusual situation for Egypt to wash a car anywhere – but such a situation clearly reduced the chances that a large number of tourists or even local residents would “wander” into the cafe. About what the initial dispute arose.
As a result, swearing turned into a fight, where at first the owners of the cafe caused “separate bodily injuries” to the cleaners. After that, they called for reinforcements and “threw stones” at the cafe workers. There were no serious injuries – mostly the police, who broke up the fight, reported that the victims received “hemorrhages and bruises”. And also the fact that both sides accused each other of causing them bodily harm.
