Malta makes it easier for unvaccinated tourists to enter

The Maltese authorities have decided to simplify the rules for the entry of unvaccinated foreign travelers into the country. So, arriving from the countries of the “red” list, it will be enough to present a negative PCR test for coronavirus or a certificate of transferred COVID-19 at the border.

The change will take effect April 11. In fact, the conditions for visiting Malta by unvaccinated foreigners will become the same as for persons who have an immunization certificate, i.e., they will not have to comply with quarantine. A negative test result must be received no more than 72 hours before departure to the country, and a certificate of recovery must be valid for no more than 180 days.

In addition, from April 10, some internal covid restrictions are also canceled. In particular, local residents and guests will no longer have to present a vaccination certificate in order to get to mass events in various institutions.
