Each tourist has his understanding of camping. For some, this is a trip to nature with an overnight stay in a tent, relaxing and creative. For others, it is active tourism. And for the third, it’s a multi-kilometer hike. “DIP” will tell you what to take with you on a camping trip.
The list of necessary things that you need to take with you varies significantly depending on the type of vacation, so we will focus on the option when your vacation is aimed at relaxation, and not overcoming.
Tent
The choice of tents is now huge, ranging from small beds to huge tents. You can even build a tent kitchen! However, if you only need a tent once or twice a year, don’t buy an expensive tent. The only important point is that it should be waterproof from above and below.
Backpack
If you plan to go hiking often, then it is better to buy a special travel backpack, it is light and roomy. Urban and even tourist backpacks are bulky and heavy on their own.
Mats and sleeping bags
To sleep in a tent, you need to lie on something. Tourists gradually refuse foams and buy rugs or rubber mattresses. But even with a mattress, sleeping bags are still needed.
Warm clothes and shoes
You should wear comfortable clothing when hiking. But it is equally important to take something warm with you, even if you are traveling close to home. Evenings and nights can be chilly, especially by the water, so a warm jumper and trousers (even if it’s sports pants) can come in very handy. Yes, and forecasts often change, and mosquitoes are always active in the summer.
Tableware
It is better to immediately replace plastic dishes with reusable ones, and then build on your plans. You can spend one day on sandwiches with vegetables, but in nature, even the simplest food turns out to be very tasty, so you can take a small frying pan and a pot with you and make a wonderful breakfast in the morning.
Little things
Wet wipes, a sun scarf, a small microfiber towel, toilet paper, toothpaste and brush, face cream, tick, and mosquito repellent – all this must be taken with you, but here the list is unique for everyone.
First aid kit
Resting in nature, there is always a risk of injury. Therefore, a tourist first aid kit should always be at hand. It is necessary to take alcohol and bandages, painkillers, brilliant green, and those medicines that you take on an ongoing basis.
