The Arab state has said it intends to ease travel restrictions for foreign travelers in the fight against the coronavirus to boost the country’s international tourism sector. However, if tourists experience symptoms of the coronavirus, they will still have to sign a commitment to be tested and consent to self-isolation if they become infected with COVID-19.
“We hope that easing the previous restrictions will help restore tourism in the kingdom and make it easier for travelers planning their trips to Jordan,” said Abed Al-Razzak Arabiyat, managing director of the tourism council, local newspapers said.
Before entering Jordan, travelers must enter the platform www.gateway2jordan.gov.jo, fill in the required information and obtain the QR code, which must be provided in the hotel, restaurant and public places of Jordan.
