Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andriy Yerkhov called on Russian tourists vacationing in Turkey to stay calm, not to succumb to the provocations of Ukrainian “protesters”, and seeing the demonstrations – to cross the street.
In an interview with Russia 24, the ambassador acknowledged that Turkey, including its resorts, is not a safe place free from Ukrainian demonstrations, and tourists should not be carefree.
“Such actions happen to us, and often, in particular, in resorts where Russian tourists have a rest”, – the bed of tourists warned. That’s why he advises vacationers not to be carefree and not to “run into”.
Seeing the demonstrations with the symbols of the Azov National Battalion and other Ukrainian symbols, the ambassador recommends not to spoil your vacation and “go to the other side of the street”, as Ukrainian protesters can meet and are openly aggressive.
In general, the diplomat added, the situation is under control and is quite calm. But caution will not hurt.
