In Spain, a tourist was shocked by the audacity of a waiter: he took money for every approach to the table

A tourist who visited the popular Imperial bar in Zamora in Spain was faced with unprecedented audacity. The waiter took money from the tourist every time he came to his table and even added a commission for the use of cutlery to the check. Later it turned out that this was practiced by all the waiters of the Spanish establishment.

Many travelers who have visited Imperial have experienced such service. However, only one of them was outraged and made a disclosure. Although the amount for service and tableware was small, the tourist decided that without prior notification of additional costs, this should not be the case.

After the meal, the tourist was charged not only an extra 20 cents each time the waiter came to his table, but also an extra euro for the use of cutlery, The Sun reported.

A distraught customer posted it on Twitter and his message quickly went viral as other tourists shared similar experiences. “Something strange happened to us in Benavente a few days ago. Every time the waiter came to the table on the terrace to bring something: beer, tapas… he charged us 20 cents. The last straw was the euro he took from us for putting cutlery on the toast we ordered,” he wrote.

While many Twitter users supported the man, some called the extra 20 cents a “ridiculous fee” and said it was pointless to make a fuss over such sums.

The post reached the administration of the same bar in Spain. They responded to the tourist’s criticism that establishments usually charge an additional service fee outside the establishment, that is, on the terrace, adding that a fee of 20 cents is allegedly charged for each drink served.

Earlier in Greece, there was a shocking incident: tourists were charged almost 600 euros for a small snack on the beach – details here.
