In the German tourism market, optimists have won, at least for now: most tourists and travel agents rate the situation as rather good. As a result, the vast majority of travel agencies say that sales are growing rapidly and expect revenue growth, and German tourists themselves are really actively buying tours. Such a victorious report was presented by the local media.
Already the last weekend of April – that is, after the Easter holidays – in the German tourist market it was announced that there are no fears for next summer. Indeed, in May, the impetus for the sale of vouchers resumed. German sources cite the following evidence: from April to May, the share of travel agents who believe that the situation is generally good increased by 10 points – from 37.6% to 47%. 45.4% of those who consider the situation satisfactory. But the number of pessimists decreased – frankly bad it was considered by 16% in April and only 7% in May.
Therefore, it is not surprising that 92% of travel agents have already grown. Also, 76.2% of travel agencies expect that the demand for holidays in the next 6 months will increase compared to 2021.
Revenue growth is forecast for sales growth. The share of those hoping to earn in April rose to 60%, in May – to 70.6%. Again, 20% remained at the expense of the pessimists, who did not expect changes, and the number of expected deteriorations fell from 10% in April to 6.4% in May.
