Tourists in Egypt, especially in the Sinai, where the famous resort of Sharm el-Sheikh is located, are strongly advised to avoid the streets and stay indoors if possible. The reason is the wind blowing from the Arabian Peninsula, which brought dust storms. Some users have already spread footage on social networks, where Egypt is “dragging” dust.
According to local media, Dr. Mahmoud Shahin, director of the Department of Weather Forecasting and Early Warning of the Main Directorate of Meteorology, the cause of the “dust cloud” – the winds from the Arabian Peninsula. With the northeast wind, this dust moves to Egypt, especially “gets” to Sinai.
The meteorologist noted that there is no need to worry, but it is better for certain categories of citizens to follow safety precautions and not show up on the street. This applies to those who have chronic respiratory diseases, for example.
It should be noted that so far in Sharm el-Sheikh, in addition, the weather is quite hot – + 34-36 degrees. In the middle of the week the temperature will drop, but only slightly – to + 30-31. Water in the sea – +25. At the same time, tourists are warned about high solar activity.
