Snow has fallen in eastern Turkey in recent days, according to the Turkish state language company TRT-Haber.
While in many parts of the country the temperature is normal for this time of year, and in some places even very warm, parts of Eastern Anatolia are under the influence of an unusual cold front, the channel said.
Heavy snowfall continued in eastern Wang County today, with snow thicknesses reaching 15-20 centimeters in many places. Snow clearing crews are making every effort to avoid road closures. However, motorists find it very difficult to move in the area, according to BTA.
Heavy snow also fell in the northeastern region of Ardahan.
