Torrential rain caused major flooding in northeastern Turkey, Turkish NTV television reported.
Due to heavy rainfall in the city of Fatsa (Ordun region), the river overflowed its banks. Many city streets are flooded.
So far, there are reports of ten flooded homes and two offices. Fatsa Mayor Ibrahim Kibar said there were no reports of people stranded or injured.

AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management) teams have been sent to the area. Drainage work continues.
Flooding is a common occurrence in Turkish Black Sea regions, known for their harsher climate.
About 100 people died in floods in northern Turkey in August.
