Hamad International Airport has been named the best airport in the world for the second year in a row. The results were announced at the World Airport Awards 2022, which took place on June 16, 2022, at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, France.
Other big winners include Singapore Changi Airport, which won awards for airport staff and best restaurant, and Istanbul Airport, for the world’s best airport shopping and family-friendly experience.
Tokyo Haneda Airport is recognized as the best in the world in the following categories: “The cleanest in the world”, “The best domestic airport in the world”, “The best airport in Asia”, etc. King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh received the award as the most modern airport in the world.
Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya has been named the best regional airport in the world. Copenhagen Airport won the Best Immigration Management award, while Zurich Airport repeated its success by winning the Best Security Award.
The World Airport Awards is the airport industry’s most prestigious award, presented by passengers in the largest annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The level of customer service and convenience is rated at more than 550 airports. The polling and awarding of awards are independent of any control, influence, or contribution of any airport.
Named “Best Airport in the World 2022” and repeating its 2021 success, Hamad International Airport served 17.1 million passengers last year. It is the Official Partner Airport of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
