Greece with new rules – everything works indoors only for the vaccinated

From Friday to the end of August, all closed public places in Greece, entertainment centers and bars, cinemas and theaters will work exclusively for customers vaccinated against coronavirus, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a statement yesterday, Sky TV reports.

The restaurants will operate with an increased but predetermined number of visitors. On Friday, the appropriate digital application will work, which will easily determine whether a visitor is vaccinated or not.

In summer, all entertainment establishments, both indoor and outdoor, will work only with seated visitors, and they will not be able to stand. However, restaurants will be allowed to set more tables than before.

Mitsotakis said such practices are already followed by countries such as Denmark, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.

Vaccination of employees working in centers for the care of the elderly is becoming mandatory. “Those who do not do so will be released after August 16. Because those who have to protect those who are most at risk cannot be as likely bearers of that risk, ”said the Greek Prime Minister.

From September 1, mandatory vaccination of public and private sector medical staff will be in effect. The government decree provides for the possibility and incentives for vaccination of servicemen.
