According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Kabardino-Balkaria, yesterday, May 13, rescuers evacuated the body of a deceased climber from Germany from Mount Elbrus.
A German citizen born in 1971 fell off while climbing Elbrus at an altitude of 5,300 meters. He made a solo ascent, outside the tourist group, and did not register with the Ministry of Emergency Situations before going to the mountains.
Rescuers received a message about what happened on Friday morning, and immediately went in search of a climber.
