Travel expert and blogger Rob Staines from On The Beach has shared his list of five destinations that he predicts will go viral in 2026. Known on TikTok as @robonthebeach, Rob regularly posts affordable travel advice and analyses booking trends across Europe.
“There are five destinations I’m confident will dominate your social media feed next year,” he said. “They’re already growing fast in 2025, but 2026 will be the year they truly explode.”
1. Porto, Portugal
“Lisbon had its time — now it’s Porto’s turn,” Rob says. “It’s cheaper, trendier, and combines historic charm with ocean views.”
Three nights with flights start from €250 per person.
2. Seville, Spain
“Seville has the architecture of Madrid, the energy of Barcelona, and better food — for half the price,” says Rob.
The Andalusian capital is expected to see record tourism in 2026, with three-night packages from €213 per person.
3. Bulgaria
“This one’s a dark horse,” Rob admits. “Bulgaria is becoming Europe’s favourite for affordable beach holidays. Hotels are improving, beaches are spotless, and Sunny Beach is finding a balance between fun and calm.”
All-inclusive seven-night family stays start from €250 per person with flights included.
4. Albania
With its crystal-clear Ionian coast, rich cuisine, and prices well below those of Greece or Italy, Albania is quickly emerging as a top summer destination.
A week in Saranda or Vlora with flights starts from €270 per person.
5. Morocco
From Marrakech to Agadir, Morocco is becoming a new favourite for travellers seeking warm weather, culture, and value for money.
Four-night city breaks with flights start from €230 per person.
