The Egyptian authorities intend to increase payments to travel companies for brought foreign tourists.
The flight subsidy program has been extended until April 30, 2023, its conditions have been changed for two airports – in the resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh and Marsa Alam. Those tour operators and airlines that bring tourists to these air harbors from May to September 30 will be paid more with less flight load – the occupancy rate has been reduced from 70% to 65%. For each flight, the amount of the subsidy will be increased by $500.
At the moment, the flight incentive program in Egypt is working at all airports in the resorts on the Red Sea. The amount of subsidies is from 1,500 to 3,500 dollars. It depends on the destination, the number of flights (at least two per week) and the load on board.
