Due to a 4-fold increase in prices, eating in Turkey has become a luxury for tourists

The main reason is the huge hyperinflation in Turkey, which raised food prices by almost 200% (that’s a 4-fold increase). “Inflation, which is evident in all spheres of life, has affected food prices by up to 185%. As a result, purchasing power is melting, and eating out has become a luxury,” Turkish media write.
