The United States resumes charter flights to Cuba. According to the American edition of the NBS, in the “Trump era” flights to Cuba were allowed only in Havana, and only on the Cuban carrier Air Havana, and with the advent of the pandemic closed altogether.
And that’s changing: the Biden administration recently announced that it would lift some of Trump’s restrictions on Cuba, including travel restrictions. “The United States will allow charter and commercial flights to airports outside Havana,” the newspaper said.
Also, types of trips will be expanded for tourists – in particular, in addition to individual tours, group trips will be allowed, and business tourism and educational trips will also be allowed. The Cuban Foreign Ministry said, in turn, that this decision is a step in the right direction.
