“Very hot weather”, literally a burning hell, was predicted by meteorologists in Egyptian resorts: in Hurghada, the heat is expected to reach 38 degrees, in Sharm el-Sheikh in the middle of the week, even +40 is expected during the day and almost +30 at night. For tourists who are not used to the heat, it will be a real burning hell. At the same time, it will not be possible to save yourself from the heat in the sea – at least in Hurghada – now: we remind you that all the beaches in the resort are closed due to shark attacks.
The weather forecast in the resorts of Egypt is as follows – in Hurghada, the temperature will be +36-36 degrees during the day and about +28 degrees at night, and tourists are also promised a very active sun. In Sharm el-Sheikh, it is even hotter – +39-40, and +29 even at night. At the same time, the sea is warmed up to +28, but in Hurghada, as tourists complain, they are not allowed to “even rinse their feet.”
We will remind you that on Friday, a shark attacked a tourist who was swimming in the very south of Hurghada in the area of the Sahl Hashish Bay, right on the beach of a luxury hotel. As a result of the predator’s attack, she received terrible injuries – the shark bit off her arm and leg. The victim was taken to the hospital, but it was too late: according to Egyptian media, the woman died from her injuries. They also specified that the deceased was a tourist from the EU, a citizen of Austria.
But she was only the first victim of a sea predator. On Sunday, information was received about the second dead tourist. Read the details at this link.
As a result, there is real panic at the resort. As a tourist currently vacationing in Hurghada said, all the beaches are now covered with protective tape along the edge of the shore. “It’s probably five meters to the water, and you can’t even rinse your feet,” complained the tourist. She added that the hotel scared tourists that sharks can not only attack at depth but also grab an ankle in shallow water. Indeed, there have already been many reports that sharks have been seen in shallow waters near beaches. So, to escape from the heat, tourists have to occupy swimming pools or sit in air-conditioned rooms.
