The incident occurred in 2019, but now the victims intend to sue the tour operator TUI and demand damages. This is reported by the British media.
According to 36 tourists, their holiday was ruined due to gastrointestinal diseases that they caught at the Jaz Aquamarine Hotel in Hurghada from January to October 2019. Four of the patients were then hospitalized, eight were found to have salmonella, and one had E. coli and shigella.
The representative of TUI, in turn, tried to assure customers that hotels are carefully checked for safety. Jaz Aquamarine staff declined to comment.
