A 45-year-old British tourist has died on a beach in Portugal after swimming in the sea. It is reported by Metro.
The British woman died on the beach of Praia do Peneco in the Algarve region on Wednesday, September 21. As stated in the message of the National Maritime Authority of Portugal, the woman got out of the water at about one in the afternoon and suddenly felt unwell. Local residents immediately called rescuers.
Ambulance doctors tried to resuscitate the British tourist on the spot, but she died suddenly. Her body was taken to the forensic center in the city of Portimão.
The cause of death and the name of the deceased are not known.
