The airport of the Indonesian island of Bali has officially opened for regular flights from abroad. The SEC found out how Ukrainian citizens can get to the island now and what documents they will need.
Flights to Bali
On February 3, the first regular flight from abroad since the beginning of the pandemic was met in Denpasar: a board of Garuda Indonesia with eight Japanese tourists arrived from Tokyo’s Narita airport. The next step is the return of Singapore Airlines, which will resume from Singapore on February 16.
In addition, tourists can use the flights of other carriers arriving in the capital of Indonesia – Jakarta. In this case, the mandatory quarantine will have to take place in Jakarta and only then fly to Bali or any other point in the country.
Visa in Bali
Despite the fact that Bali now officially receives tourists, the visa-free regime is still suspended. On February 2, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued clarifications stating that it is not possible to apply for a tourist visa on your own. Those wishing to enter the island will still need the services of a guarantor – an invitation from a private individual or a local Indonesian company. “Visas are submitted on the website https://visa-online.imigrasi.go.id/. Only a local sponsor can apply for a visa on behalf of a visitor. Information about the invitation is available on the website http://bit.ly/bukumanualevi”, – said in a press release from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry. There is no list of recommended companies, but you can find online resellers who offer e-business visas for $ 259. It gives the right to a single entry with a stay in the country for 60 days and the possibility of 4 times to extend this period for another 30 days.
Rules of entry in Bali
To enter Bali, tourists over 12 years of age, in addition to a visa and passport valid for 6 months, will need a digital or paper certificate of vaccination. Vaccination should be at least 14 days before departure. In addition, you must present a negative PCR test in English (valid for 48 hours – ed.) And confirmation of booking a room in a quarantine hotel for 5 days. Its duration increases to a week if you are vaccinated with only one component or travel with unvaccinated children. Upon arrival in Bali at the airport, you must pass another PCR test, as well as undergo this procedure on the penultimate day of quarantine. In case of a negative result, you can move freely around the island. A positive test will lead to isolation in a hospital or hotel at your own expense.
In addition, according to the rules, you need to install the PeduliLindungi program on your phone and fill in health information. As for insurance, the requirements for it are reduced: it is enough to have a policy with coverage of at least 25 thousand dollars.
Quarantine
Quarantine can be carried out either in Jakarta or in Bali. The official list of approved hotels DIP.org.ua could not be found, but the forums dedicated to Bali, give the names of some hotels that have already received permission to quarantine tourists. These are Grand Hyatt Bali and The Westin in Nusa Dua, Griya Santrian Beach Resort & Spa, Viceroy Bali Luxury Resort in Ubud and Royal Tulip Springhill Resort in Jimbarani. It is worth noting that quarantine is not a cheap pleasure, the package of services, which includes transfers, accommodation and meals, will cost at least $ 500.
