Ghanaian authorities are investigating the death of a man who was fatally bitten by a lion after the man entered the predator’s enclosure at a zoo in the capital, Accra, the BBC reports.
The man died from his injuries after the attack on Sunday, officials said.
The victim’s body was removed from the zoo and taken to a local morgue.
The police started an investigation to establish the motive of the deceased and the circumstances of the attack.
At the time of the incident, there were a lion, a lioness and two lion cubs in the enclosure.
