Another incident related to fire occurred in a resort area of Turkey. This time the fire broke out in a town with a characteristic resort name Datcha, located not far from Marmaris. A hotel, a residential building, and a part of the forest massif burned down. No information has yet been received about the victims. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire.
The fire started at noon on July 13 in the Masoudiye district and the fire began to spread rapidly due to the wind. Eyewitnesses who noticed fire and smoke in the forest area reported the threat to the 112th Emergency Center. According to Turizmajansi, during ground and air extinguishing, it became known that the hotel also caught fire. Brigades were sent to this area.
While the journalists who arrived at the scene of the fire reported on the current situation, one of them said the following: “Unfortunately, the house and the hotel across the street burned down. The helicopter no longer needs to approach to rescue objects.” No casualties were reported.
A large number of ground and air forces were directed to the fight against the elements. There were 9 helicopters and 5 airplanes in the air, 20 water tankers, 9 water tankers, and 3 bulldozers on the ground. Turkish investigators opened a criminal case and are investigating the cause of the fire.
