According to the Ministry of Tourism of Israel, in the current beach season, 54 beaches and three marinas in Israel received the Blue Flag eco-friendly mark.
Thus, the agency recalls that the beaches on the Mediterranean Sea in the country are located in the cities of Akko, Kiryat Yam, Haifa, Netanya, Herzliya, Tel Aviv, Rishon Lezion, Ashdod, and Ashkelon. The Red Sea also has a beach area – in Eilat.
Recall that the “Blue Flags” are awarded to the beaches of the world annually. The expert jury marks the recreation areas that meet several criteria, including water quality, safety, level of service, and responsible attitude to nature.
