Turkey’s flagship civil aviation company, Turkish Airlines, maintains a leading position in Europe in terms of daily flight statistics.
According to the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (“Eurocontrol”), as of April 27, the Turkish national air carrier carried out 621 flights per day.
The TOP-5 in terms of the number of flights performed, along with Turkish Airlines, includes Wideroe – 343 flights, Air France – 290 flights, DHL Express – 273 flights, KLM Royal Airline – 256 flights.
Luftansa ranks sixth with 247 flights.
Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines ranks 7th in the ranking with 186 flights.
According to Eurocontrol, the average number of flights in Europe today has decreased by 83 percent compared to 2019, the pre-pandemic period.
