Sweden is reopening to Ukrainians as recommended by the EU Council

From July 26, 2021, the regime of entry into the Kingdom of Sweden for citizens of Ukraine (holders of biometric passports) for optional, including tourist travel, is restored.

The requirement for a negative PCR test on COVID-19 or a COVID certificate when entering the country of foreigners who are not banned from entering remains valid.

Currently, Sweden only recognizes vaccination certificates issued in EU / SES countries or in Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland or the Vatican.

Entry into the country will be allowed if 14 days have elapsed since the date of receiving the second dose of covid-19 vaccine.

Sweden recognizes vaccines approved in accordance with Regulation (EC) 726/2004 or authorized by the WHO for use in emergencies.

List of vaccines approved by Sweden:

  • Comirnaty (COVID-19 vaccine BioNtech Tozinameran)
  • Spikevax (COVID-19 vaccine Modern)
  • Vaxzevria (COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca)
  • COVID-19 vaccine Janssen
  • COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca / SKBio
  • COVISHIELD (Serum Institute of India COVID-19 vaccine)
  • COVID-19 vaccine BIBP / Sinopharm
  • CoronaVac (COVID-19 vaccin Sinovac)

The PCR test must be performed 48 hours before entering Sweden (the time from the delivery of the biological material is counted). The requirement applies to foreigners who have reached 18 years of age.

Citizens traveling from Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway are exempted from the requirement to take a negative COVID 19 test when entering the country.
