Russian singer Philip Kirkorov was stripped of the title of “People’s Artist of Ukraine”. The reason is his many years of support for Putin.
The musician of Bulgarian origin has been an artist of “AR Crimea” since 2000 and “People’s Artist of the Chechen Republic” since 2006. In 2008 he became the “People’s Artist of Russia”, later – of Ukraine.
Last year, Vladimir Putin personally awarded him an order for his great contribution to the development of Russian variety art. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Kirkorov has not expressed a position on what is happening in the country.
