Dubai to launch world’s first 3D printed mosque

At the end of this year, construction of the world’s first 3D-printed mosque will begin in Dubai.

It is known that Ali Mohammad Alkhalyan Alsuwaydi, Chief Engineer of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities of the Government of Dubai, will lead the project.

More than a dozen huge 3D printers will be involved in the construction process of the mosque.

The new mosque will have two floors, its total area will be 2,000 square meters. m. The mosque can simultaneously accommodate 600 parishioners.

The work is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

Recall that in 2018, the authorities of Dubai launched the so-called “3D Printing Strategy”, according to which by 2030 25% of the city’s new buildings will be built using 3D printers.
