The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center said a magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook the coast of the Philippines today.
The epicenter was reported 158 km southeast of the city of Mati (population 105,000) in Davao Province. The earthquake was registered at a depth of 66 kilometers, according to TASS.
A tsunami alert has not yet been issued.
