The strongest earthquake since 1989 hit Norway early this morning, oil production was stopped, BTA reports.
The epicenter of the earthquake was below the North Sea, 160 km west of the coast.
According to the Norwegian seismological station, the magnitude was 4.7.
Residents of the Westland province closest to the epicenter felt the ground sway.
Norwegian oil company Equinor has stopped oil production at a nearby offshore platform. No platform damage was found.
