The Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez will leave for the capital of Ukraine Kyiv in the coming days to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by a government source, quoted by Reuters.
Sanchez is following in the footsteps of several other European leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the prime ministers of Britain and the Czech Republic, who have visited Ukraine since Russia’s invasion in support of its president and people.
The presidents of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia also visited the country.
Yesterday, Sanchez announced that Spain would reopen its embassy in Kyiv, which had been closed since February 24.
