As part of the project of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska on the introduction of Ukrainian-language audio guides in museums around the world, an audio guide in Ukrainian was launched at the Archaeological Museum of Nessebar, Bulgaria, according to the website of the President of Ukraine.
“The launch of Ukrainian-language audio guides is now a key area of cultural diplomacy. In the midst of the tourist season, we are launching the first Ukrainian-language audio guide on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. I invite Ukrainian tourists and all those who speak Ukrainian to visit the Archaeological Museum of Nessebar, “said Zelenskaya.
It is noted that the Nessebar Museum is dedicated to the history of the ancient city of Mesembria (the name of the city of Nessebar until 1934).
The voice of the audio guide was Ukrainian writer Anna Bagryan, who lives in Sofia.
“The first Ukrainian-language audio guide in Bulgaria was implemented thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria and the staff of the Nessebar Archaeological Museum,” the office of President Zelensky said.
As part of the First Lady’s project on cultural diplomacy, about 10 more Ukrainian-language audio guides are planned to be launched in different countries by the end of the year.
