The United Arab Emirates sent another plane with humanitarian aid to the residents of Ukraine. The plane delivered 50 tons of food and an ambulance with medical equipment to Poland.
This action is a continuation of the campaign, in which Ukrainians who are on the territory of the country, as well as those who have left for neighboring countries, receive assistance.
“The UAE supports efforts to reach a political solution to the crisis and strives to promote regional and international security and stability, as well as efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of affected civilians on the territory of Ukraine,” said Ahmed Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Ukraine.
The diplomat noted that the Emirates will continue to provide assistance, first of all, to women and children in overcoming the humanitarian crisis. Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Senik thanked the UAE for its assistance.
Along with this, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates provided the citizens of Ukraine with the opportunity to legalize their presence in the country and obtain resident visas for a period of one year. A local sponsor is not required to obtain a residence permit.
Tourists from Ukrainian cities who are stuck in the UAE and unable to return to their homeland can also stay in the country for a year – no fines will be charged for exceeding the established periods of stay (30 + 10 days).
In early March, the UAE authorities resumed the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. Thus, all citizens of Ukraine arriving in the UAE, starting from March 3, 2022, are entitled to visa-free entry and residence in the Emirates.
