Arestovich published a list of Russian units that may be involved in war crimes in Bucha

Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the President of Ukraine, has published a list of Russian units and subunits that may be involved in war crimes in Bucha, Gostomel and Irpen in the Kiev region.

Recordings from cities abandoned by the Russian army show the bodies of civilians with their hands tied behind their backs. The Russians attempted to burn several of the bodies before retreating. Mass graves have also been discovered.

In his Facebook profile, Arestovich published a list of units that may be responsible for the crimes committed. These are, among other things:

• 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of the 35th Army of the Eastern Military District;

• 5th Separate Tank Brigade of the 36th Army of the Eastern Military District;

• 331st Airborne Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division;

• 137th Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division;

• 104th and 234th assault regiments of the 76th airborne division;

• 14th and 45th separate special purpose brigades;

• 63rd Special Police Department of the Russian Guard;

• 155 dedicated Pacific Fleet Marines.

“Units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Russia and the Russian Guard that committed war crimes in Bucha, Gostomel and Irpen,” he signed.

The Russian Defense Ministry reacted to the disclosed crimes by calling numerous photos and videos near Kiev a “provocation” and a “staging.”

Human Rights Watch

The crimes are evidenced not only by indisputable materials recorded by the world media, but also by a report published by a non-governmental organization dedicated to human rights.

According to Human Rights Watch, Russian soldiers in the Kiev, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions not only killed men, but also raped women. The report describes, in particular, the story of a 31-year-old Ukrainian woman who was raped several times by a Russian soldier. The man was supposed to hit her and threaten to kill her.

It is also reported that the Russian occupiers shot and killed an evacuated woman and a 14-year-old child who fled after soldiers threw a smoke bomb into the basement of their house.
